I'll admit. There wasn't anything extraordinary with this. Simple quick time mechanics. However, I think it's the charm that a fat kid falling down the stairs somehow saves the world that made me smile. It was also pretty short, too. Overall, nothing great, but nothing bad either.

I can definitely see inspirations of I WANNA BE THE GUY, CAT MARIO, and other hell games. That's fine and dandy, no trouble there. However, the overall "graphics" could be improved; at least a running animation or a few other details just to give it that extra oompf.

Zenitchy responds:

Yes I know for graphic ... XD
Unfortunately for additional animation, he will miss the event because I already reaches the maximum on the demo of my sofware XD
Thank you for your comment :D
And yes, my inspiration from cat mario XD

This was a pretty awesome game, overall. The vectored artwork was pleasing to look at (along with a added bonus of giving off a Wind Waker vibe), the controls were spot on, and the upgrades kept things interesting.

I hope to see more from you guys in the future!

UknownXL responds:

Thanks for the review. We have several more games on the way that I am sure you will enjoy.

I actually liked this a lot, but for some reason the game will simply stop playing as soon as I try to shovel the flowerbeds. It's a frustrating bug that you should definitely try and fix!

Daedalic responds:

Thanks for your feedback! Fixed. :)

The orange power-up may just be a little over-powered, no?

I couldn't tell if this was intentionally bad or not, but.....

...you know what, I can't say anything. I'm sure everyone else has already said it.

It wasn't the worst game in existence, but it's fair to say that it was pretty clunky. The first thing I thought when I saw "Slender 2D" was a Mario-like platformer with Slenderman constantly dogging you.

Still, it was a honest try at a parody, so kudos there.

Lenke responds:

well, at the beginning I thought make a parody game of Slender, but the things takes other ways(?

You're definately on the right track!

I'll start with the pros. Everything is relatively fluid in what I see, animation wise; especially the enemies here. The details with the electricity, fire, even the green death goop are very nice. The music chosen here was a nice touch as well, especially during the fight-scenes (dare I say I got a bit startled when I played this game the first time). One thing I really liked though was that you gave what I'm guessing the most common enemy a range of attacks instead of just one attack. That's something that will not only keep a player on their toes, but also livens up the playing experience quite a bit.

There were only a few cons here and there. One is the default control scheme. I guess I was just used to the control scheme in the first version of the demo. Also, I doubt it's unintentional, but when you're blasting with your flamethrower type weapon, there's no backwards walk animation; it's almost like he's doing the moonwalk when he fires and walks backwards. It's not THAT noticeable, but it was a tiny detail that kinda bugged me.

Other then that, you get a 9/10 and a 4/5 from me. Hope to see the final game real soon!

The game appears glitched.

The man reason why I'm rating it a zero is because the game isn't even letting me play. I start off in the room where a women is talking to you and then suddenly it takes me back to the man menu. If I wait long enough, three random heads pop out of nowhere (the credits I presume), yet I moved my mouse nowhere. After that, it goes to an achievement page by itself and then there's not even a menu; just the main character standing there all depressed and whatnot. I hope that this helps get rid of the glitch because the game does look very promising and entertaining.

Knowing my luck though, it's probably because of MY computer and I'll end up getting a whole bunch of hatemail from random douches or grammer nazies that fester here. 'Tis Newgrounds though, right? XD

Simply awesome, but...

...for some ungodly reason, the medals won't load up. Is there a bug or something?

Also, glad to see Mecha-death make a suprise appearence! Can't wait to see how that series turns out.

Just a fool who's run out of tools.
