You're definately on the right track!
I'll start with the pros. Everything is relatively fluid in what I see, animation wise; especially the enemies here. The details with the electricity, fire, even the green death goop are very nice. The music chosen here was a nice touch as well, especially during the fight-scenes (dare I say I got a bit startled when I played this game the first time). One thing I really liked though was that you gave what I'm guessing the most common enemy a range of attacks instead of just one attack. That's something that will not only keep a player on their toes, but also livens up the playing experience quite a bit.
There were only a few cons here and there. One is the default control scheme. I guess I was just used to the control scheme in the first version of the demo. Also, I doubt it's unintentional, but when you're blasting with your flamethrower type weapon, there's no backwards walk animation; it's almost like he's doing the moonwalk when he fires and walks backwards. It's not THAT noticeable, but it was a tiny detail that kinda bugged me.
Other then that, you get a 9/10 and a 4/5 from me. Hope to see the final game real soon!
